The Oklahoma Senate has passed a bill by 41-1 that seeks to limit the number of medical marijuana firms listing the same physical address on their licence applications, with such addresses limited to one license per licence category. The bill is designed to improve regulation and prevent illegal business activity, according to state Senator Brent Howard, its author. Members of Oklahoma’s medical marijuana industry have argued the proposed legislation is irrelevant, given that growers and processors already require licensing from both the public health department and the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control. Oklahoma legalised medical marijuana in 2018.
